Little Kitty Stitchery Pattern

Good morning friends!
Here is a companion piece to my free Little Bunny stitchery that was offered earlier in the week.
Isn't she cute!
I like her little leggies!
She is available for instant download here at my Craftsy Shop.

This is such a quick stitch-you can do it in 1 night! The design measures about 5" by 3", so it's perfect size to put on little handmades for baby-a little bag, or bib or burp cloth!
 The sky is the limit!
I think I'm going to put it on a little puse I'm making for Amy. She loves putting things in and taking them out!
Don't you just love babies?

Blessings,
~Annie

Patch-a-Boo! on Etsy and Craftsy

Good morning!
How are you today?
I'm doing great, the weather has taken a tiny bit of a cooler turn, and I can feel Autumn in the air.
I am definitely more of a cool weather gal, even though I love spending time out of doors all summer, gardening and what not.

To celebrate the promise of cooler days to come,
I have re-released all the patterns for my Halloween Quilt
Patch-a-Boo! on Etsy, and Craftsy.

The finishing pattern, which includes how to trim the blocks and put the quilt together is a FREE download at Craftsy!

I get to spend the later part of my morning with my sweet little grand daughter Amy Ren.
Her mommy and I are taking her to the local library where there is a sweet little play-place perfect for little ones her size. And then we are going to our local Farmers Market to buy yummy home-grown fruits and vegetables! So I am looking forward to a lovely day!
This is Amy wearing a toadstool hat and trying to put a tiny doll shoe on her foot!

She's a serious little one, who is all about her business!
 LOL!
 I just adore her!

Have a wonderful stitchy day!
Blessings,
~Annie

Quilting and Stitching!

I can't believe almost a week has gone by since I last posted! Boy oh boy time sure does fly when you are not looking!

Since last I posted Isabel has gone back to school, starting her sophomore year in high school. She has gotten herself off the crutches with a lot of determination, but being in school all day is a little hard. She is definitely ready for ice and a little R & R when she gets home!

I have been quilting and stitching!

A lot of hand embroidery going on here, I will have new patterns to release soon, and one will be a FREEBIE!!  More on that very soon!

I have been looking over my Etsy Shoppe and trying to figure out improvements. Mostly I am unhappy with my categories.

You know me, I love to do anything and everything, so 10 categories is  just never enough for me!!
LOL!

I have also been working away on my hexie quilt whenever I have a spare moment.

I'm afraid this one is going to be a lifetime project! LOL!
I have 29 flowers done, it will be a twin size. So working in rows across the width, I have 2 and 7-8 rows done. I have been working on this since last spring!

What projects do you have going?

Blessings,
Annie

Strawberry Lemonade

Is the name of this cute Dresden plate table mat!

Can you stand the cuteness?

I made it from the fabric collection called Sausalito Cottage by Holly Holderman
It is a gorgeous mix of florals and vintage seed packets~ I love it!
This little table mat will be for sale over at PFATT Marketplace on Monday morning.

The light pinks just reminded me of pink lemonade. I mixed them with some yellows from my stash and it just looks like summer to me!

So of course I had to mix up some strawberry lemonade to sip in the shade on the back porch!

I love to make lemonade from scratch in the summer. Here is my mix:

5 lemons, juiced
I do this by hand with a wooden lemon juicer. I squeeze them over a strainer into a bowl, this strains out the seeds and most of the pulp.
Pour lemon juice into pitcher and add 2 quarts water
Add 1 cup of organic cane sugar(you can use regular sugar if you like this is just what I use)
Stir well.
Wash lemon and cut into slices. Remove seeds and add to pitcher.
Cut caps off 5 strawberries and add to pitcher. Stir again.
Put ice in a glass, a lemon slice and a strawberry, pour and enjoy!

Let me know if you try it!

And on a side note, my daughter sent me a picture of baby Amy playing with the bear I made her! Isn't she a cutie!
(the baby AND the bear!)

Blessings,
 Annie

My dream is coming true!

The town I live in has just approved backyard chickens!
Yay!

I have wanted chickens for SO long now! My hubs and I have bought expensive organic and range free/cage free eggs form the grocery store; we have driven miles out to a local farm to get fresh eggs; but nothing will compare to having our own eggs right in our own yard!
Yippee!
I mean just look at those beautiful birds!
I have been obsessed with chickens for years-and I mean years!
I grew up in the suburbs, but my dad grew up on a farm. And as a little kid I hung on every word of the stories he would tell of farm life.
I have always been a farm girl trapped in suburbia!
LOL!
Just look at those little sweeties!
Oh! I am in love!
Maybe you are not aware of this, but the backyard chicken movement has been growing all across America.
I think as Americans begin to look at the unbelievable unhealthy state of our food supply, the increase in obesity and heart disease, and the untold millions who are allergic to food additives; more and more people are taking control of what they eat. Farmers markets and co-ops are popping up all over, and  backyard chickens are becoming a movement!
Check out this site here for more information.
I will keep you all posted on our progress. For right now, we will be doing lots of research to get ready for the spring.

Do you keep chickens?

Blessings,
Annie
